Mike Kasprowicz was the pick of the attack, with figures of 5-77,including four wickets in a fine spell after lunch, with the Australian bowlingunchanged from the New Road end for almost an hour and a half.Darren Thomas also claimed a further three wickets to go with his five wickets inWorcestershire`s first innings, whilst off-spinner Robert Croft claimed twoimportant wickets in the pre-lunch session as Worcestershire stuttered in theirrun chase.”It`s nice to get a win under our belts,” said skipper Steve James after thematch. “Our bowlers were superb, whilst Mike Powell and young JonathanHughes both batted well on a wicket that had plenty in it for the bowlers. Theoverhead conditions also added to the difficulties by helping the ball to swing.””I`m pleased that our bowlers were disciplined and bowled on one side of thewicket. Darren Thomas had a fine spell in the first innings, whilst today Mike Kasprowicz bowled superbly, and got his due reward by picking up five wickets.”
