But then Best started tomake an impression Rajapaksa trapping lbw before claiming to middle-orderscalps. He then removed the key figure of Karunanayake with his thirdlbw of the innings.When the top-scorer fell Sri Lanka were 178 for 5 and wasting theadvantage of batting first, but useful innings from Denuwan Rajakaruna(35) and Akshu Fernando (39) kept them afloat. Best claimed his fifthwicket when he caught and bowled Rajakaruna although Sri Lanka’s lowerorder proved hard to shift as they added valuable runs.
