Mourinho took charge of the Turkish club back in June and has already managed the club in three Champions League qualifying matches. On Saturday, he appeared in the Fenerbahce dugout for the first time in a Turkish Super Lig match against Adana Demirspor.

The game started on a fiery note with the 61-year-old coach getting involved in multiple face-offs with the match officials. In the 20th minute, after a decision went against his team, the Portuguese confronted the fourth official which eventually forced referee Atilla Karaoglan to book the Fenerbahce boss.

Mourinho's side will next take on Lille in the second leg of their Champions League third-round qualifying match on Tuesday. They had suffered a 1-2 defeat in the first leg which was an away fixture.
